Welcome New Members

When a challenge is issued – the people of Suwannee, and beyond, step up to the plate! The following individuals have stepped up to show their support for the Suwannee County Historical Museum. Through their membership in the museum association, these individuals have indicated that they have an interest in the history of Suwannee County and its preservation.

Each of our members receive a mailed copy of the Freight Line as well as a member’s only newsletter called “Membership Matters”. This special newsletter includes special announcements, additional ways to become involved and a personal message from the museum association chairman, Jerry Scott. Hats Off to these individuals and their household family for their support as we all work together to preserve and protect our rich heritage.

We were recently reminded just how easy it is to gain new members. During the recent Wellborn Blueberry Festival, new member Polly Haines enlisted Jimmy Poole Williams for a two year membership – it didn’t seem to matter that when Mr. Williams signed up for a one year membership, that Mrs. Haines inadvertently ‘forgot’ to give him his change. He agreed that the cause was worth a two year membership.  On another occasion, new member Cynthia Penney purchased a gift membership for a friend and co-worker.

Use the membership form on page 12 to share with a friend, better yet – pick up another copy of the Freight Line and pass it on!
